Community Christian School is experiencing a milestone event in its short history. Very soon, CCS will provide a new building for Christian children in the northern Shenandoah Valley. The cost will be expensive and we will need the support of the entire community. This project will provide unique opportunities for our supporters and friends to give more designated gifts than ever before.

We Thank Him for the Past and Trust Him for the Future

This is will be a 3-year $2.5 million dollar capital campaign to support the purchase and operation of our new building at our recently acquired property at 23749 Old Valley Pike just north of Woodstock, Virginia. This facility will initially house our Elementary School, a gymnasium, administrative offices, and an assembly hall. The Capital Campaign is underway with a public announcement scheduled in June 2006. This project has been a fervent prayer of the faithful for many years.

Construction of 12 new classrooms including science and music departments, computer lab, an art room, and a library/media center as well as developmental plans for future campus expansion projects are part of the current plan for the new CCS.

Endowments for faculty and staff salaries, student scholarships, tuition assistance, and school operations are also part of the capital campaign. Tuition assistance is currently available for students whose families may qualify.

Endowments

Most educational institutions have wonderful endowments. In education, endowments equate to excellence. Endowments are a tool that will enable Community Christian School to fund our priorities and help provide that "excellence". It is the very foundation for building upon our quality programs. In the event of adversity, it is a resource that can be allocated to assist the situation quickly. This type of planning is just that, planning. It is not considered a lack of faith but the demonstration of proper stewardship. Endowment funds can be created to:

  • Provide staff and faculty salaries
  • Provide student scholarships
  • Provide for maintenance and care of the existing facility
