Non-Discriminatory Policy

Community Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Enrollment

Community Christian School seeks to assist Christian parents and local community churches by providing a Biblically-based educational program that instills a whole-hearted love of the Lord Jesus Christ, develops Godly character, emphasizes a Christian worldview and Christian lifestyle, and promotes academic excellence in a wholesome, nurturing environment.

The Enrollment Process: New Student

a.) Prior to enrolling a child at CCS for the first time, parents will be expected to interview with the Administrator. This is an opportunity for the Administrator to review facts regarding the scope of CCS, the educational program, and any other relevant policies or procedures. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and to address any expectations and concerns that they may have at that time. During the interview, at least one parent or legal guardian will be asked to attest to the following:

1.) that he/she has accepted Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior,

2.) that he/she regularly attends a local evangelical Christian church that is able to endorse the CCS Statement of Faith, and

3.) that he/she is committed to Christ-centered education, as outlined by the CCS Statement of Educational Philosophy.

Any student who has been expelled from another school may not be permitted to enroll at CCS (references will be contacted). Any family that currently owes any late payments to any other school(s) will not be allowed to enroll a child at CCS; once all late payments have been paid, the family is welcome to proceed with enrollment of their child at CCS.

b.) The Administrator will contact the parents to schedule any appropriate screenings or tests that the new student(s) must complete to determine proper grade placement.

c.) Parents continue the enrollment process by submitting a completed Family Application for Admission and a registration fee of $150.00 per child.

Both parents must sign the Family Application for Admission, attesting to their understanding of spiritual and moral, academic, and social and personal development objectives that will be taught to their child and to their willingness to support and uphold the Christian worldview that is taught and stressed in all aspects of education and administration at Community Christian School.

Both parents and each child applying for admission to CCS must exhibit a willingness to actively support the CCS Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Statement of Educational Philosophy, Statement of Educational Objectives, and Statement of Family Expectations.

d.) Based on any screening or testing results, the Administrator will once again contact the parents to confirm admission of the new student and the grade placement. If admission is denied, the Administrator will review at length with the parents the reasons behind such a decision and will 2offer any pertinent suggestions for the student’s education.

e.) Upon confirmation of the student’s acceptance for admission to CCS, parents are expected to confirm with the Administrator that the student will indeed attend CCS.

The Enrollment Process: Returning Student

a.) Parents of returning students are offered the opportunity to re-enroll their child(ren) for the upcoming school year beginning in late February—early March.

b.) Parents submit a completed Family Application for Admission and a registration fee of $100.00 per child.

Both parents must sign the Family Application for Admission, attesting to their understanding of spiritual and moral, academic, and social and personal development objectives that will be taught to their child and to their willingness to support and uphold the Christian worldview that is taught and stressed in all aspects of education and administration at Community Christian School.

Both parents and each child applying for enrollment at CCS must exhibit a willingness to actively support the CCS Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Statement of Educational Philosophy, Statement of Educational Objectives, and Statement of Family Expectations.

c.) Upon receipt of the completed admission application and registration fee, the Administrator will contact the parents to confirm enrollment of the returning student and the grade placement. If re-enrollment is denied, the Administrator will review at length with the parents the reasons behind such a decision and will offer any pertinent suggestions for the student’s education.

d.) Upon confirmation of the student’s acceptance for re-enrollment at CCS, parents are expected to confirm with the Administrator that the returning student will indeed continue attending CCS.
